Mumbai: SBI General Insurance, one of India’s leading general insurance providers, has announced the appointment of Shri Mohd. Arif Khan as its new Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Deputy CEO). The strategic move comes as part of the company’s efforts to bolster its leadership team and accelerate growth in a rapidly evolving insurance landscape.
Arif Khan, a seasoned banking professional with over 25 years of experience at the State Bank of India (SBI), brings a deep reservoir of domain expertise spanning retail banking, strategic operations, training, and technology-led transformation. He began his career with SBI in 2000 as a Probationary Officer and has since held multiple leadership roles, most recently serving as General Manager, Network-I, at SBI’s Local Head Office in Thiruvananthapuram. In that capacity, he oversaw large-scale business operations and key strategic initiatives across the region.

Khan holds a postgraduate degree in Mathematics and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA, USA. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Wealth Management from IIBF and has completed a certificate course in Risk Management from the Risk Management Association of India.
